The prospect of posting your resume to job boards has pros and cons, but if you are a believer, SimplyHired (kind of a cool aggregator of job boards and corporate recruiting sites) has made it easy for you with their Resume Post Tool. By creating an account with Simply Hired, their Resume Post tool will allow you to automatically post to the resume databases of Monster.com, CareerBuilder.com, Beyond.com, CareerMetaSearch.com & Job.com.
Here's the big issue with the tool - it is a one way road - you can use this tool to post your resume to the big job boards, but you won't be able to remove it with the same tool. If you want to remove/cancel your resume, you have contact the job boards you sent the resume to for removal. As the resume doesn't sit live on SimplyHired after creation and distribution, simply closing your SimplyHired account won't remove your resume from the sites you sent it to. With this in mind, it is likely a more conservative play to post to the resume databases of the big job boards on a one-by-one basis.
Lots of horror stories out their regarding resume databases, so proceed with caution. I like the idea from a candidate's point of view, but my take would be to always keep control of your Intellectual Property, and if you can't take the resume down with the same tool, you have lost control. Horror Story #1 - you change jobs and your new employer notices your resume stays out on the job boards even though that wasn't your intent....
